The 215R is a high-performance sub-bass system featuring two long-excursion 18-inch direct-radiating transducers housed in dual, separate bass-reflex tuned chambers. The drivers are arranged in a unique opposing “V-shape” configuration, forming two 15-inch elements facing each other.
This design creates a large, centrally positioned reflex port within the cabinet, maximizing low-frequency efficiency. The central port alignment further enhances system performance through an optimized front-loading path, an effect that becomes even more pronounced when multiple units are deployed in large-scale arrays.
The differentially flared bass-reflex system reduces turbulence and port noise at high sound pressure levels while improving low-frequency efficiency and extending the response down to 32 Hz.
Designed for ground-stacked use, the 215R can also be configured in cardioid subwoofer arrays, with one cabinet positioned rear-facing and processed via a dedicated amplifier channel. This setup significantly improves low-frequency control and reduces rearward energy radiation.
With high system efficiency, the 215R delivers extremely high SPL output while maintaining excellent linear frequency response. Its controlled transducer excursion design keeps total harmonic distortion (THD) remarkably low, even under demanding operating conditions.
The result is a powerful, punch-driven bass response combined with extended low-frequency reproduction, making it a distinctive alternative to conventional dual 18-inch vented enclosures. It is particularly well suited for demanding live applications such as side fill or drum fill and stands as a true reference in its category.
The 215R offers high modularity in a compact footprint, enabling flexible configurations and large-scale array deployments. A comprehensive range of accessories further simplifies setup, including stacked and pole-mounted configurations.
Built from marine-grade birch plywood and finished with a durable, impact- and weather-resistant PCP (polyurea cabinet protection) coating, the cabinet is engineered for long-term reliability in professional touring environments.
It integrates seamlessly with high-end professional full-range and line-array systems, significantly extending low-frequency performance and overall system impact.
Applications: Large Open Air Venues, Arenas, Stadiums, Theaters, Conference Halls, Concert Halls, Large Scale Discos & Clubs.
